Modern, medium to full-bodied. Layers of dark berry fruit, firm tannins and balanced acidity. Mocha, pepper and dark chocolate build through the mid-palate. It's succulent and plump on the palate, with excellent weight and a silky flow, beautifully framed by a plush texture and polished tannins. Harmonious and well-structured with a persistent, velvety finish.

"From an excellent Barossa Valley vintage, this has a dark russet core with a ruby rim. A full and muscular style, we have aromas weaving through notes of warm earth, plums, mushrooms, coffee grinds, dark chocolate, charcuterie and black fruits. An appealingly supple texture, the wine has both balance and length. Seductive, even a touch hedonistic, there is a lingering finish with satiny tannins. Very attractive, especially on the palate, this should provide cracking drinking over the next decade. Impressive stuff."
